Life changes. Things happen. Sometimes you have to step back and be okay with it all being beyond your control.

As I mentioned in the epilogue, I cried hard and deep with the thought of ending this blog. When I started I figured 52 weeks would be good and then I would be done.

I realized how much I have enjoyed the writing. More importantly, how deeply I have have valued, appreciated and savored the time during my lunches. I can’t give it up no matter what my future may hold.

Coffee Break no longer really applies. I need to rebrand. I thought what would be appropriate? Lunch with a Different Person Each Week is a mouthful.

I thought about what is the most casual yet usually sincere way someone expresses the desire to have lunch with another person. One usually says “Hey! Let’s Do Lunch!” If you are an executive or famous, which I am not, that is often followed up by “I’ll have my people call your people.”

So. “Let’s Do Lunch” it is. Please give me some leeway as depending on my schedule it might need to be dinner or brunch. Regardless, the intention is still genuine and the focus is real. The time together is what matters.

I am excited for this next installment. I hope you will be too.
